Reference and guide to SFIA version 7. Framework status: Current standard.

#27 Generics, Skills and Knowledge - better explanation in Reference Guide: change request accepted

Need to better explain the relationship of generics skills and knowledge. Also need to raise awareness of the importance.

From Australian Public Sector SFIA Forum:

Probably Guidance - rather than Framework

Consider relationship of Generics, Skills Experience and knowledge

What we decided

What we changed

The reference manual for SFIA7 to include additional text and graphics to better explain this point.

Probably guidance and reference guide.

An explanation of this is already in the reference guide but it is insufficient!

This really does need to be given the importance it deserves - while what in the reference guide is correct it is insufficient for the hugely increased user base we now have.

Those long term skills developers (mostly SFIA users) have understood this and largely forgotten the reasons why this is not well understood by others. We must explain this better.

The Global Framework Alignment Description may help with this.

Update reference guide, consider new guidance white paper.
