The SFIA framework and its documentation.

The SFIA framework continues to evolve to meet the experiences and changing needs of its users. 

SFIA 7

This is the current version of the framework, published in June 2018. It contains the skills framework itself (with an at-a-glance index) together with the definitions of levels of responsibility used in the framework. It also has a guide for moving to this version with details of changes between version 6 and 7. For logged-in users there is PDF documentation, and an Excel spreadsheet of the framework data

SFIA 6

This is the previous version of the framework, published in July 2015. It contains the skills framework itself (with an at-a-glance index) together with the definitions of levels of responsibility used in the framework. It also has a guide for moving to this version with details of changes between version 5 and 6. For logged-in users there is PDF documentation, and an Excel spreadsheet of the framework data

SFIA 6 is a 'legacy' standard but continues to be widely used and supported by tools, consultants and trainers.

An older version of the framework, published in 2011. It contains PDF documentation of the framework

SFIA future version

This is where we are gathering ideas and discussing what will at some point become version 8 of SFIA. You can make change suggestions directly on a copy of the current framework or by posting a change suggestion in the dedicated area.
